ACR EPIRB Battery Replacement

Factory authorized ACR epirb battery replacement. We service and replace Epirb batteries on any ACR Epirb or PLB and reprogram any ACR 406 MHz Epirb or PLB.

We are also an ACR Certified “Shore Based Maintenance Facility” that can issue your vessel an Epirb Shore Based Maintenance Certificate as per IMO Regulations MSC/Circ.1039. We can also issue your vessel an epirb certificate as per IMO Regulations MSC/Circ.1040.

These epirb batteries are NOT for sale to the general public. Specialized equipment, software and training is required to perform a battery replacement. The US Coast Guard requires, by law, that epirb batteries be replaced by a factory authorized service center unless they are specifically designed to be user replaceable.

This service applies to all current and several discontinued ACR EPIRB, PLB and SART models.

This service DOES NOT apply to the following models:
RLB 23 through RLB 35
PLB 10 through PLB 200.
Epirb batteries for the above units have been discontinued by the factory.

Epirb Battery Replacement Service Includes:
New battery good for 5 years
New O-rings and washers
Full pressure test
Full water activation test
Leak test
Weight test
Full transmission service test on ACR test equipment
Proof of passing certificate certifying programming and functionality
New Labels (if necessary)
New pull string, tab and cord. (if applicable)
Replacement of cracked antenna (additional fee)
New NOAA registration forms (if necessary)
Free pickup and delivery in Ft. Lauderdale area.

Turnaround time is up to 2 weeks upon receipt of EPIRB at our shop depending on current level of battery stock.

You can either drop off your epirb at our shop or you can ship it to us. We offer free pickup and delivery in the downtown Ft. Lauderdale marinas area. Please contact us if you have any questions.
